Senior Citizen Foot Care Clinics are available for people age 60 and older. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, Foot Care Clinics are currently being held in Cavalier and Drayton. Foot Care is available at the Cavalier Transit Center Monday-Wednesday the first and second week of each month, and the last Wednesday of each month. Foot care is available at the Drayton Senior Center the fourth Monday of each month, and the fourth Tuesday every other month. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 701-265-8715. Please leave a message and the Foot Care Nurse will return your phone call. Clients are required to wear a mask during Foot Care. Routine toenail care and trimming is provided by Stacie Metelmann, RN, CDE, Certified Diabetic Foot Specialist. Foot Care Clinics are provided by Pembina County Meals & Transportation. Foot Care Clinics are part of the Older Americans Act Title III program funded by the ND Department of Aging Services. A suggested donation of $13.00 is asked for Foot Care. No one will be denied services if unable to make a donation. The Pembina County Meals & Transportation Vehicles are Handicapped Accessible- public transportation for people of all ages; Monday-Thursday -Local transportation in Cavalier and transportation from other communities into Cavalier. Monday-Friday -Local transportation in Drayton and transportation from Drayton & St.Thomas into Grafton. Wednesday & Friday - Eastern Pembina County to Grand Forks (Cavalier, Neche, Pembina, Drayton) 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month -Western Pembina County to Grand Forks (Walhalla, Mountain, Crystal, St.Thomas) GROWING HOPE IN PEMBINA COUNTY: Residents of Pembina County, North Dakota who are currently under medical care for cancer can apply for financial help on website https://growinghopeinpembinacounty.org Tuesday - AA meetings at Pembina Co. FAITH IN ACTION provides a number of different services for citizens in Pembina County. Our services are: transportation to and from medical appointments, take a person shopping or shop for them, telephone reassurance, home visits, light home repair such as changing batteries in smoke detectors or light bulbs, short term basis light housekeeping or light yardwork, respite and assisting a person in writing letters.
